Avatars are the android artificial intelligence constructs built for star ship and station computing systems in order to interact with their occupants while retaining complete awareness of and control over systems.
An avatars appearance usually reflects the A.I's personality. As an artificial construct, avatars have abilities that would be considered superpowers by humans, such as super strength and speed, resistance to injury and heightened senses.
