Character biography
Ash's carefree attitude and easy smile make her look more a pirate or mercenary than a space station Commander. She is very easy going by nature but she can also be very much the perfectionist when she wants something. She hides a high IQ behind a quick wit and loves to tease but does so in a manner that is hard to tell if she is serious or not. After a fashion most get used to her dry humour. At times her humour has been known to make her appear as a bit of a chauvinist.
Born on her father's cargo freighter, like most QuickFox. Ash's early life was spent travelling the galaxy with her family from port to port and considers ships and space stations her homes. From a young age she took a great interest in engineering and learned many various engineering skills before reaching adulthood. It's assumed this is why she is a very hands on Commander and her rabid curiosity makes her a bit of a pest to her crew at times.
Not one to do things necessarily by the book, Ash is definitely a risk taker and has been known to use peculiar tactics, making her less predictable than the average Commander. She has a tendency to get vessels and station systems outfitted with unusual configurations for their type, which has proven to be both an advantage and disadvantage in various circumstances.
Originally working on Deshima as a senior engineer for four years, a large scale attack on the Deshima Station was brought on by the Noobians, during the attack, the higher chain of command of Deshima Station had been elliminated and in turn placed Ash as 'Commander' of the station due being the highest ranking survivng crew member at the time.
Because of her unusual, but "gets the job done" commanding and high tolerances for living in deep space for great periods, her position was not contested by many among the other members of the QuickFox and as such has remained as the Commander of Deshima Station.
